Vaginal itching, any piece of info would be a help thanks.?!

Question: Vaginal itching, any piece of info would be a help thanks.?
okay so I'm 15 (never had sex or anything in the pants area) and I was home alone with a bad cold and I had Been taking uni flu earlier (I previously got thrush rashes from prescribed medicine) and well I started feeling around my area and it was really it itchy around my inner thigh so I went upstairs and I noticed a rash on my thighs near my vagina and I looked a bit more and my vaginal lips (not sure of technical name) were hanging down and very red, compared to their normal small size I'm really worried they might stay this big and I'm a little worried. I don't want to go see the doctor or anything but what's causing the "lips" to be so big and wrinkly at the edges and they are a dark red colour please help.

Answers:

Poor you! Definitely sounds like thrush again.

Thrush can be caused by all sorts, its not all ways a sexual problem, I get it all the time with my Diabetes, it sounds like it was your flu medicine that's caused it for you.

Don't worry, if you treat it your appearance should go straight back to normal.

What you need to do is get yourself a good thrush cream like Canestan, and perhaps some tablets to treat it, you can buy these or get them from your Doctor.

There are other things you can do to help too, like make sure you take showers rather than baths, and when you do, don't wash down there with any normal shower cremes or bubble bath, just water. It also helps to wear pure cotton panties rather than synthetic ones, and loose fitting pants rather than tight ones, to let the skin breathe.
If the itching is really bad and you don't have any cream, you could try using natural yogurt to relieve it as this works too, just make sure you don't leave it on too long and wash it all off thoroughly.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon!

You deffo need to go to the doctors, there is no need to be embarresed by them seeing your genitals, coz they have seen it all before. You need to go, just incase it gets worse

Sounds like you have thrush again.
