Ugh....I hate my period! Hate it! Hate it!! HATE IT!!! What can I do about it?!?!

Question: Ugh....I hate my period! Hate it! Hate it!! HATE IT!!! What can I do about it?!?
Ok. Here's the deal. I'm 24. I've had this terrible thing since I was 12. When it first started, I had limited symptoms. I had the occassional cramp and the occassional mood swing. No big deal. It was more annoying than everything. Fast forward to my adult years. I have cramps, headaches, extreme ravenous hunger, extreme fatigue, and backaches. I can deal with all of that! Fine, I get it. Periods suck! But I CANNOT deal with the emotional symptoms! I become a monster. I am homicidal (actually going as far as to threaten to kill ppl), suicidal, paranoid, will cry @ the drop of a dime, and extremely mean. This is the only time of the month this happens. So here's my questions: what's wrong with me? I was thinking PMDD...maybe? Also, what r some tips I can use to calm myself down? I don't do it on purpose and everyone avoids me during this time. I just wanna be normal. :( Please give me ideas and tips about making this better...

Try birth control pills to even out hormones. Or anti-depressants. Both are good options to try.

i had the same thing and the best thing to do is get a mirena coil fitted it stops your periods all together you cant get pregnant for 5 years and theres no symptoms you can ask about it at your doctors well woth it ive had mine in for 2 years best thing ive done

Drinking lots of water and getting extra sleep and exercise can help. Try getting a diva cup instead of pads and tampons, you can change it less often and it is more comfortable.

You can ask your doctor if you can go on birth control. It can help with a lot of period symptoms.

i think you need to try some anxiety medication along with a birth control that can reduce your symptoms. if you are on a bc, it is not working as far as helping with your PMS

go to the dotors and you can go on the pill (even though it has some side effects) it can stop your periods. talk to your nurse/doctor
