Diabetes isn't caused by PCOS. Studies have linked PCOS with a problem regulating your insulin. Diabetes is the same thing. A lot of women find that changing their diet to a low Glycemic Index diet (cutting out refined sugars, white flours, white rice and increasing proteins like low-fat meats and dairy) helps tremendously. It's really hard at first, like any dietary change, but it will make a huge difference. If you are concerned, you can visit your doctor and have some blood tests that will measure your hormone levels. One missed period doesn't mean you have PCOS, so I wouldn't stress about it too much. There are SO many reasons you could have irregular periods. As with any weird thing your body does that concerns you, it never hurts to see a doctor.

There is the possibility. The only way to know for sure is to be tested.

Do you have thicker than normal peach fuzz on your face?
Do you have random male like chest hairs?
Do you have any pinch like pains about 2" on either side of your navel and 1" down?
Do you chart your periods on a calendar or planer? If not start you may find a pattern. I haven't had a period in July--not counting the one last year that came the last week of June and ended on July 2--since 2006. I have little calendars in my pad's drawer that a keep for reference.

It's just an irregular period it is fine.
