Anal sex shouldn't have resulted in bleeding - if it hurts or if there is bleeding then it means it is damaging the tissues of your anus, which is not healthy and leaves you open to infections and STD's - please know in the future to stop if this happens. For now keep as clean as possible, but if it continues over the next day or so you'll have to see a doctor.
I doubt it's serious but you can try this, when you go to the toilet wrap toilet tissue around your hand (4 fingers) 4 times so you have a wad of tissue, then fold it in half, now when you wipe if you are soaking a quarter of the tissue you're fine if you soak a half or more then seek medical advice asap. Chances are you have torn either your anus or deeper into your rectum. As the first poster said it always seems much more than it actually is. Always use plenty of lube and take it very easy it's certainly not something that should be appraoched lightly but if you are both very careful then it shouldn't result in pain and bleeding like this. Don't be surprised if on your next few bowel movements you bleed a little again thats nothing to worry about and in time it will help.

It is unlikely to be too serious - a little blood can look like a lot especially on a tissue or in the toilet bowl
If you have slightly torn your anus, it can take a very long time to heal because every time you poo, the anus will be stretched again
If you are bleeding cupfuls, then you need to see a doctor.
