Question: Doctor say's I have alot of protein in my urine..whats wrong with me?

I went to the ER yesterday for a bad UTI & they gave me medicine for it but they also told me I have alot of protein in my urine & I need further testing to see my regular doctor right away. What could this mean?

you could have a kidney infection. The kidneys filter proteins in the body.

Reduce in take of grams and avoid supplementary proteins. Also reduce salt after consulting Doctor. Avoid junk food and fried items.
