Is it normal For period to be late after taking the morning after pill?!

Question: Is it normal For period to be late after taking the morning after pill?
I took the morning after pill 2 days ago due to a split condom. I took it within 12 hours and I wasn't sick after taking it.

However I was due to start my period yesterday and so far I haven't. I am never usually late and I always use protection when having sex. I have also done 2 pregnancy tests - both of which were negative - just in case!

Can the morning afterpill affect the menstrual cycle even when taking it so close to the end of the cycle? Do I have to worry about this?

MAP will disrupt your cycle for potentially months!!

This has happened to me before. The nurse said it's a normal process that your period may be delayed. it doesn't necessarily mean you can be pregnant, however if your period is abormal in anyway, then i would go and see your GP.
The morning after pill is very effective, and all it does it stop the sperm meeting the egg. so there is no way you could be pregnant yet if this is one of your concerns. Your period may spot for a couple of days, as you have taken a pill which your body is not used to. everything will be fine :D. the problems of been a girl ay! too much worries :P

Yeah its totally normal dont freak out. The times I have taken the MAP I have had my period few days before its due but it depends in each woman. I also havent experienced any side effects from it. If you period was supposed to be yesterday you are fine! give it time! if you are so stressed out it also can affect it.

ps get on birth control!
xoxo

taken the morning after pill 3 times

Yes, the morning after pill can make your period later or earlier. It can also cause some spotting. Nothing to worry about and you should be back to normal next month.
