Is this genetic? (WOMEN ONLY!)?!

Question: Is this genetic? (WOMEN ONLY!)?
Ok I am 16, 5'2" and 100 pounds. I wear a size 36 B bra. (My mom has only let me wear spots bras; I have only worn padded/ normal ones a few times.) The thing is, I don't have a gap between my breasts. I heard that it is only like that when you are overweight, but I am a few pounds above underweight, so I am confused. There is fat where the gap is supposed to be, and it isn;t like I have a uniboob, it is just like they are actually separated and just have fat in between. I have questions though...
1) is this normal?
2) is it genetic or did they grow like this because my mom only lets me wear sports bras and they are tight?
3) My mom also tries to tell me what size I wear and pick my bras for me. She tried to tell me that I wore a 34 B (which is too small/ tight) because it doesn't LOOK like I wear a 36 B. (When it is a lot bigger than it seems.) How do I convince her to let me choose my own bras? She only lets me wear sports bras and I don't like them. :(

Answers:

Just talk to her. The bras you wear should not affect your growth, but regular bras do make them look more separated. You need to talk to your mom about this though, you shouldn't wear tight and uncomfortable bras.
