Most doctors say it takes about 2 weeks to get into your system. I personally used condoms for the first month though. Since you only been on the pill for 5 days, you should still use condoms at least till you've taken it for 14 days. To be safe you can always call up a pharmacy and tell them what brand of BC you're taking and they could tell you how long.
start taking the pill when your period starts carry on taking them untill your next period is due ie your 7 day break then you will be covered keep practicing safe sex ,,
NO!!!!!! you need to wait and have at least 14 days of active pills in your system.
