is it normal to bleed this much when im not on my period?!

i went to have a coil fitted on thursday, the doctor couldnt get it in as my uterus was not relaxed so she then gave up. i had some blood that day but not too much, and the next day there was no blood at all.

but then on sunday i started bleeding again and its really heavy. is this from the wound to my uterus from trying to fit the coil in place or is it my period now? is this normal ifits not a period?

im just curious if its my period as its a week or two early and mine are usually late
