Question: Why do nurses ask if you could be pregnant before an injection?
I went to the doctors today to have some injections and the nurse asked if there was a possibility that I could be pregnant, why do they ask this? I'm not, but I'm just curios.

Because the substances they're putting into your body may be known or suspected to adverse affects on a pregnant woman or her fetus.



Because certain drugs can have side effects that could harm a fetus.
