if its not your period it could still be your period. It could have changed your cycle it being new hormones and all. B/c pills help to lighten period bleeding. If its not your period then it is considered vaginal bleeding and you should monitor your blood loss and you need to count how many maxi pads you soak per hour and if its more than one per hour your bleeding too heavy. Seek medical attention if the bleeding continues or becomes excessive because several medical problems could result including anemia, coma or death. When in doubt seek medical attention.
Birth control doesn't stop periods. It basically regulates them. Seeing as you just started it only 2 weeks ago your body is still adjusting to the new amount of hormones in your body. Give it time and you should be fine. Any more questions you should consult your doctor since you're dealing with birth control.
You should take it within the same hour everyday. When your body is getting used to the pill you may have breakthrough bleeding. It can be anywhere from spotting to full blown period. When I started the pill I had breakthrough bleeding for a month straight. But your body will regulate itself out. Try and take your pill at the same time everyday, it's important and might help.
