Period... 15 years old and going to a waterpark.. help!!?!

Question: Period... 15 years old and going to a waterpark.. help!!?
Tomorrow I'm going to great wolf lodge here in canada and I am suppost to be getting my period sometime this week and I'm going till friday. The hotel is all about the famous waterpark. I'm going with my aunt, my uncle and 5 cousins. oh and my ugly brother. I don't want to go because I'm very shy about all of this, and my mom just got home from work. She forgot to buy tampons and SHE said "you can get toxic syndrome" or something like that. My dad is making me go. My mom told him about my period and how I can't go in the water and he is like "so what.. just go and be in the arcade. The hotel is huge." meanwhile the waterpark, is why we're going... so I really don't know what to do. Please help me. When you insert a tampon, which hole do u put it in. Apparently the girls "front" has 2 holes. The one closest to the anus, right? Omg, I'm so scared. I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS.

Don't periods suck!!

But seriously, calm down girlie! :)

Yeah, you have two holes, the tiny one to the front is where the urine comes out, and the bigger one to the back (not your anus!) is your vagina which is where you put the tampon in. There will be instructions in the box on how to put one in or just look online, you just need to relax when you do it. Otherwise, you could wear a pad and lounge about by the side of the pool and read a magazine? That way you can ignore your smelly brother hehe!

The toxic shock syndrome is what it says on the box, there is a slight risk of getting it but it's mostly if you leave the tampon in for a long time i.e. 8 hours or overnight. It's a very very small risk.
And can't you go and buy tampons? Don't be worried or embarassed to buy them, EVERY woman from ages 16 ish up to the 50s or 60s has periods and it's just normal to buy them. Basically, there's nothing to worry about, just part of normal life.

Hope that helps, have fun on your holiday!

Your family must not be too bright if they're taking a waterpark vacation in March, in Canada. I didn't know trolls could swim, anyway?

The bottom hole next to the anus!
Don't be scared they don't hurt and just remember to remove it!
