Question: OMG i made a bigggg mistake!! am i okay?

This morning when I woke up, my period was light (my fourth day). Like, a little brown blood. but it was a little heavy yesterday, and last night. so i put in a regular tampon, thinking it would pick up. when i got ready to change the tampon and tugged the string, it really hurt. i sucked it up and got it out. it had small amounts of discharge!!! just plain clear discharge with no blood!!! and when i got my tampon box out it says that you should never wear tampons with discharge!!! im afraid of infection or medical problems and TSS. am i okay or should i worry?

You're fine. You can't predict that your period will stop completely when you put it in. It's just not good to wear a tampon when you're not on your period because it takes longer to fill up. Since you said it really hurt, it was probably just because the tampon was still dry and it was just the cotton fibers irritating you as you pulled it out.

You should be fine, Loads of girls practice wearing them before they need to when they haven't even had their first period. I think it only says that because if it's not 'soaked' it's harder to pull out but if you have any pain now go and see the doctor to be safe :)
