PCOS Symptoms and Treatment?!

Question: PCOS Symptoms and Treatment?
I went to the doctor recently and she thinks that I may have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS. I have a lot of the symptoms. If you have it, could you tell me how you deal with it and what your symptoms are?

Answers:

?Very irregular periods, right now it's been three months since my last one.

?Male like chest hairs, that I pluck. Even around the areolas. (Ouch, I know.)

?Thick peach fuzz along jaw line and down neck below my chin. Plus a blonde mustache. I shave those with a trimmer or epliate. It depends on my mood.

?Thicker body hair than other females in my family.

?Having a higher testosterone level than the other females in my family meant I was seen as the Tomboy growing up. Just the way I acted. Later as a teen you could tell they questioned it in another way.

?Higher testosterone, for me, means a higher libido. But, that's a bad thing? ;~)

?I have issues with my weight being high.

?Because I tend to gain muscle quickly. Like my calves are fifteen inches around and rock hard. I hate them. I'd love to have feminine thin calves.

?I get the pinching of cysts. I've had one very painful one, last summer. I could not stand for twenty mins after. It hurt so much. Like a very hard pinch.

?After one bursts I get a watery period.

I don't take any BCP or meds for it. Right now it's under control. (Yes, my periods are out of whack. But, I chart them as much as I can. And since I'm not trying for a baby or even sexually active, it's alright. I'm used to it and always have protection with me.) For pain I just take a Motrin.
