What does it mean if...?!

Question: What does it mean if...?
Ok so I'm 27, female. I have a boyfriend who's in the army who I love very much. Sometimes I just get these feelings like I need female affection so much. I don't have any female friends that I hang out with and never really have since I was 20. But sometimes when I'm around females I work with that I talk to everyday or even my therapist who I connect with, I just wish I could ask for a hug. I find myself wanting to hang out with them, just laying on a couch or a bed, and just talk about everything. Sometimes I wish I could have someone female hold me at night while I fall asleep. When I'm sad and miss my boyfriend, I wish they would hold me and tell me it's ok to cry. Why do I crave this affection? I've even gone so far as to think about going to a lesbian club or something to find someone who will listen and connect with me. I just want to be loved and to be touched and understood. I want someone to put their hands in my hair and on my face and be passionate. I want to cry because of so many reasons. I only crave this attention from the women I know and who are pretty and mature and seem supportive. What do you think this means??

Answers:

Maybe you feel like you didn't experience any affection from your mother when you were young? A lot of women cling to female friends and loved ones because they felt neglected by their mothers. It's okay to feel this way, and i hope you do find a supportive female figure in your life. If it is a sexual attraction however, perhaps you are having feelings of bi-sexuality? I think it's perfectly healthy to explore those feelings!

it means that you crave female attention that you havent since you were 20 and it is amplified by the fact that your boyfriend is deployed. ask some female co-workers out for drinks or see if they want to hang out. My boyfriend and i are away from each other a lot because we live in two different states and my "girlfriends" are either busy or deployed. just ask some girls that you know if they want to just hang out and talk and eat ice cream or go out for drinks. you don't have to be lonely while your boyfriend is away just don't go seeking the wrong kind of attention I.E. other men.
