can i continue having periods after 51?!

Question: Can i continue having periods after 51?
Is there a way to encourage the ovaries to continue making estrogen so that you will continue to have a period until death?

Answers:

There is a condition called Estrogen Dominance -
It is a condition that causes the body to have too much estrogen in proportion to progesterone.

It can cause Thyroid and Adrenal gland problems. There are certain situations that can cause some women to have Estrogen Dominance - too many to list.

Your question is - can you continue having periods after age 51?
And there is no way to encourage the ovaries to continue making estrogen until death.
Eventually, the ovaries will stop producing estrogen and you will enter menopause.' (periods will stop)
Usually it is about age 51 or 52 (on average)
Estrogen Dominance is a condition that some women have that can cause serious health problems.

This is not a condition that you would want. Google Estrogen Dominance and you will understand more about this condition.

"Too much estrogen" does NOT cause "thyroid problems" unless a woman has an under-active thyroid gland to begin with. There is no way to prevent menopause. Eventually, the ovaries stop producing eggs and your periods will stop. You can take estrogen - many women do to prevent hot flashes and bone loss after menopause - but it won't keep your ovaries working once they are done. While it was thought at one time that taking estrogen - hormone replacement therapy - caused breast cancer, it is now generally accepted that the benefits outweigh those risks unless there is a history of breast cancer to begin with.

No two women experience menopause exactly the same way. Lots of women continue to have periods after 51 - and as long as you have periods, you can get pregnant.

Nothing will stop your ovaries from stopping their egg releasing duties. You can only take medicines and hormone replacement to help with symptoms, but "the change" is something all women will have to go through.

There are women who will continue to have their periods past 50, but eventually they will hit menopause too.

No, there is no such medication that I know of.

Too much estrogen after a certain age can cause other problems - Thyroid problems for one.
And you need to have progesterone to balance out the estrogen because without the proper balance of these 2 hormones, can contribute to uterine cancer.
Why would you want to have periods until death?

you won,t once you went through the change. no more periods after menopause

Why would one want to do that?
