Greyish lump of flesh like tissue come out with period..?!

Question: Greyish lump of flesh like tissue come out with period..?
Excuse the detailed information, but earlier as I was taking out my tampon, I noticed an unusual lump sitting on it..
It had a dark greyish tint to it, but it was mostly a peachy colour.. It looked SO wierd and actually freaked me out a bit.
I'm used to passing sometimes heavy, sometimes mild blood clots during a period...
but I can say this was NO blood clot and neither did it seem like discharge because it was just too unusual and solid.

As disgusting as this sounds.. I pulled it apart on some tissue using a cotton bud.. and it was practically like skin.. it was so stretchy and didn't break at all and very thick.

I also noticed, on one part of this lump there was this tiny black bit on it, I touched it with the cotton bud, but it didn't come off red.. ??
I always use tampons, and I only had this one in for 3 hours and never seen anything like it.

I'm on the pill, but missed a week of it before as I couldnt get a new pack due to work/commitments etc.. though me and my boyfriend used condoms during that week.. This was 6 weeks ago. - I've been taking it since.

Answers:

Please don't freak out it sounds to me just like normal womb lining that is shed after most periods. Just so happens that this was particularly large area that has come away all at once instead of smaller parts. I've had this before and never had it checked out and i'm perfectly healthy and had two very healthy children.

Did you get your period last month since you said it was six weeks ago? Also, about how big was the lump of flesh? If you didn't get your period, sounds like it could be a miscarriage since the pill doesn't work the first day you take it if you had stopped for a week. If you did get your period, then I have no clue.

Go to the gynecologist just in case. :)

I'm a woman and nothing like that has ever happened to me

As Brooke says.......a visit to the doctor or a gyno would put your mind at rest (and if possible take what you found with you)

Could well be part of your womb lining which is shed during a period.

It's probably dead cells
