HELP!!!! Is my doctor right?!

Question: HELP!!!! Is my doctor right?
She said I haven't had my period in 3 months because according to blood test I'm kind of low in iron. Does this make sense? I'm not preg, I'm a virgin.

Answers:

It does make sense. When you menstruate, iron is lost through the blood. Therefore, when you anaemic (low in iron), this can have an effect of 'pausing' your period.

Anaemia is when there are too few red blood cells or not enough haemoglobin in the blood. The most common type of anaemia is iron-deficiency anaemia, caused when there isn't enough iron in the body.

The reasons your periods may have stopped is because it can't afford to lose the little amount of haemoglobin it has through menstruation. Therefore, it conserves that blood to prioritise for important tasks you need to survive; like feeding oxygen to the cells of your organs.

Your body is a delicate thing. Getting your period happens becasue you are physically able to have a baby. All kinds of stuff can thow this off.

If you are low on iron, it would be a really bad time to get pregnanat, so your body would shut that down. You might also shut down if you were really sick, or under a lot of stress, or if you were very underweight.

Once your iron comes back up, you should be back to normal.

Good luck in getting better!

Makes sense to me. You lose iron during your period. If you are anemic it very well could effect your periods. Eat more green veggies. They are high in iron. Raisins are also high in iron. You may want to try iron tablets. They are sold over the counter at your pharmacy.

Yup, she's right. Have you tried masturbating? It increases blood circulation so that you will have your period on time and you'll also experience less cramps.

No, she isn't. All the schooling, internship and residency she did was a pure waste of time. She's clueless.
