Really irregular periods?!

Question: Really irregular periods?
I got my first period about a year ago, and they are still really irregular and light. I see it about every 2-3 months, but that varies a LOT.
Is this normal?

Answers:

Yes it is perfectly normal. Since you just started a year ago, your body is still trying to adjust itself, and you are still developing. It might take a few years, but there is nothing to worry about. Going on birth control can sometimes help even them out if it causing too many problems. Good luck!

I got my first period 5 years ago, and they still aren't settled. They come anywhere between 6 and 10 weeks. I think if it's in combination with other symptoms like really heavy bleeding, unusual discharge or very bad pains, it means there's a problem, but other than that its just stress, or your body's just taking its time. I'd go to the doctor if I were you, just in case. I know I have to...

No. Its highly abnormal. I suggest you to visit a gynaecologist as soon as possible. I don't want to scare you or something, but this can be pretty serious. Don't worry, it is curable. Hope I was helpful. :)

it depends are you an athlete? cuz athletes can have irregular periods
