Is there a way to stop my period? 10 points for best/quickest answer!?!

Question: Is there a way to stop my period? 10 points for best/quickest answer!?
So I'm going to Kalahari Wednesday-Thursday and I'm pretty sure I'll start my period around then. I COULD use a tampon if worst comes to worst but I've never used one before so I don't want to be in pain. Is there a way to stop my period just for those 2 days?

Thanks!

Answers:

You can't, I'm sorry. When you use a tampon for the first time it might feel odd, but it shouldn't hurt at all if you do it correctly. If that's the pain you're talking about. If you were talking about headaches and cramps, take some Tylenol and don't overdo it on the exercise or anything. Good luck :)

sorry, you can't stop it, just wear a tampon, it doesn't hurt if you insert it correctly. i have a friend who decided that when she gets her period she won't go swimming when she has it just to avoid wearing a tampon, but i think that once she gets her first period she will change her mind and wear one because its the easiest way to have a normal life with your period (and still go swimming).

Good Luck!

No. It would have been possible if you'd planned ahead and gotten on birth control. But on such short notice, there's nothing you can do.

Tampons aren't as bad as you think. If you use them correctly they won't hurt you.
And birth control does not make it harder to get pregnant later on. Still, if you don't want to take it that's up to you... unfortunately, hormones like those found in birth control are the only thing that can stop a period.

Take the contraceptive pill (birthing control) which stops your period for however long you like it too. You take a packet of pills, one each day for 30 days. Then have a 7 day break from them, which you then come on your period. However, you don't have to stop having the break, you can just carry on taking the next packet.
