Question about the menopause - try to answer!?!

Question: Question about the menopause - try to answer!?
I've heard people on TV talking about the menopause, but they never explain it properly. They talk in code!

When it happens at around, say, 60, do you lose all sexuality? Do you no longer want to have sex? Do you no longer get flips in your stomach because of a boy/guy/man? Do you have no attraction to anyone anymore?

I know it also makes you sweat a lot and 'be hot', and you stop getting your period.

Answers:

Oh sweetie. Menopause is just the natural progression of a woman's reproductive organs due to change in hormones. It basically means that you won't have your period anymore and therefore can't have children. You will still want to have sex, you will still have the capacity to love your partner, and you will definitely still be attracted to others. The "hot flashes" are just a side effect of the hormone changes in a older woman's body along with irritability and other side effects.

The current UK age at menopause is on average 52. It does signal the drop in female sex hormones and cessation of ovulation that normally marks the end of a female's reproductive period, but certainly not the end of her sex life.
