This guy has tried getting at her before but this was years ago. She hasn't talked to him in years.
what could she do? she doesn't want to start big drama but she is very scared, and well so am i..
any suggestions..advice please

Yep, go straight to the police station, take the evidence, tell her to write everything down in a diary (adds weight to her complaint), and the police can help out straight away. its the best option. Stalkers are insane. They can't be cured. They actually think that they are in a relationship with the victim and think that every signal or non-signal from the victim (even if the victim doesn't know they are there) is a sign and a test of their love. They are nuts and not to be taken lightly. Get help from cops and family. Cops first.
Tell her to go to the police station. Its not a big deal, just make sure she shows the evidence and tells them whats been happening. Its best to get rid of him before this gets way out of hand.
Tell her parents, for sure. If this activity progresses, report it to the police.
I would suggest a restraining order : ) oh and maybe a .22 for safety
