Question: 16 y/o, 5'6" 120.5 pounds, & need to lose weight. Any advice?
I've got stick arms (haha) little tummy (but not a lot). So I'm satisfied with that. But, my butt and thighs are hideous. I am wanting to loose maybe around 5 pounds of butt & thighs, so how do I do that? How do I tone them?
Thanks already for your help, it will be GREATLY appreciated :)
oh and a side note, I barely eat any vegetables, how bad is that? What can I do about it- I mean I'm sure you're thinking "uh, eat 'em duh" but it's just difficult, so can I take vitamins in their place, or is there a flavorless veggie out there (something that I can munch on without gaging). Thanks again ;)

This is a great question, I get it all the time with the people I Coach, you can tone your body by drinking protein shakes as a replacement for your breakfast, and working out your legs by running at least 4 times a week, and for the veggies the answer you know it "eat them", but if you are not gonna do it, there's this vitamins called Garden 7 and this Multivitamins that contain essential botanical factors that our body needs and it's on the veggies that we don eat.

Actually you are a normal weight. If you lose anymore than 5.5 pounds you will be in the underweight category.

I put your height and weight into the BMI (body mass index) calculator and you have a BMI of 19.4. Anywhere from 18.5–24.9 is considered a normal BMI. If you lose anymore than 5.5 pounds you will then be in the 18.4 category and you will be underweight.

You can see for yourself here:

We are our own worst critics when it comes to our bodies. When I was 128 pounds I thought my had huge thighs. But little did I know I'd gain 70 pounds because I would take antidepressants and also get hypothyroidism. Both causing weight gain. So when I look back at my 128 pound self I can see not one part on me was huge or big. I was all small and trim.

It's like my friend was worried over her tooth that is crooked, but I never even noticed until she said something about it.

You are at a normal weight right now. You do not need to lose any weight if you do you could develop health problems such as becoming week since your body isn't getting enough nutrients, you may lose your period, a weakened immune system, osteoporosis, reproductive issues (which could plague you later in life if you stay underweight), anemia, and hair loss.

And if you keep thinking this way you might develop a psychological condition. Which is defiantly something you do not want.

And if you are worried about not getting the nutrients you need and you hate vegetables (as I do) take a multivitamin.

Just stop judging yourself so harshly. Remember you are seeing things that no one else sees or might not even be realistic. We all do that at times. You are at a normal weight now. Try to keep it there.

Good luck!
