Will I ever get used to shaving..down there?..?!

Question: Will I ever get used to shaving..down there?..?
I HATE pubic hair, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. I HATE IT. So I shave it off, but I get these effed up stupid bumps.. there.. and it itches like crazy. Will I ever get used to shaving there? :S

Answers:

Here is how to shave your pubic hair: 1st cut the hairs short. Then apply conditioner or something creamy to the pubic area. Then shave upwards in the opposite direction of the hairs with a 5 bladed razor. Be sure to shave hard to make it smooth. Afterwords to avoid getting beginners side effects wash the area off with acne cleanser or anti-bacterial dishwasher soap. If done right you will be incredibly smooth like me.

Yes you should adapt to shaving after a couple weeks of doing it.

Pubic hair is a disgusting, standoffish, sexual deterrent that has outlived it's purpose. Also when a girl keeps her pubes natural I can't even see her vagina.

This is 2011, pubic hair is out of style. Let's make 2011 the year that we all rebelled against the tradition of keeping pubic hair.

Please go to my profile & read my blog about why there's nothing wrong with pubic hair removal so you won't fall for the lies pube loving idiots might tell you or remove it for the wrong reasons.

I believe my answer is the best & I would appreciate it if you chose mine best so I don't have to vote it best when this question expires.

I am the leader of the pubic hair removal movement.

Eventually but with the right tools!
You may need a new razor gel, i find that hair conditioner works best down ther... Weird but hey it works!
Try new razors and CHANGE YOUR RAZOR GEAD OFTEN! like, i u shave every second day, change ur razor every 3 weeks or more. Hair down there is very coars so it weard the blade fast!
While you're tryig to figure things out use Hydrocortison Cream with aloe vera in it, its an anti-itch steroid cream so it'll bring down the itch, pain, redness and bumps. Cortison cream by itself or real aloe vera works best but they may require a perscription, and its not difficult to find but excessive use can thin your skin so be careful! (hydrocortisone is completely safe tho no thinning of skin!)
Also, DO NOT SHAVE AGAIN THE HAIR! always shave with the hair! In the same direction will not be as close of a shave but its better then the razor bumps!
Avoid wearing lace underwear the day or two after shaving, it can catch on the hair an irritate it which will cause razor bump-like sympoms.

Hope this helps!

Years of experience and experimentation!

The more you shave, the stronger your hair gets. It's true for men's beard, it's true for your legs, it's true for all hair. So if you keep shaving, it will keep getting itchy and bumpy. If you don't want this, you should have it waxed (or do it yourself). I know, it hurts a lot and it's kinda awkward, but the more you wax, the weaker your hair gets.

I wouldn't shave there unless you want that chicken skin appearance with read bumps like you have experienced. It's razor burn and hard to not get in a delicate area like around your genitals.

Here is a picture of razor burn on a mans neck:

And you can also get ingrown hairs which look like pimples and until the hair comes out the bump will stay there. I have shaved my pubic hair before (when I was in 7th grade and hadn't had it long, I'm 25 now) and I hated shaving it. I remember going to my locker and I needed to scratch it so bad. So I don't want that for anyone else.

Unless you are really worried about it (and I know you are but I am going to suggest it anyway) I would just get a bikini trimmer. This is the one I have:

I just trim very close and I don't have much hair at all after that, but I don't have to deal with the itching and all. They are in the shaving aisle of places like Wal-Mart and Target.

But if you have the money you can always go to a salon and get it waxed. I have heard it does hurt (less and less the more you go), but it's up to you. And it costs around $25 to $35.

You can read more about it here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bikini_wax

And there is a video telling about it:

You could home wax it, but I have tried that and it hurts so bad. Better off letting a professional do it. But if you want to try it you can get all the supplies you need at Sally Beauty. And I'd watch a how to video on YouTube before I tried it.

You can get to lasered off but it's very expensive.

There is a home laser kit, but again very expensive:

It's your body you do with it what you want. If you want to dye it green and call it grass (my gynecologist told me about a patient she had) then you can. Just respect yourself because you deserve respect back.

Good luck!

try trimming your hair short first
then let the skin soak for a while
then use a thickish hair conditioner instead of shave cream/gel
and don't go over the same spot too many times !
that should help

and if you already have bumps do not shave again until they're gone.

You could try trimming, it'll probably be a little better than shaving. But if you want to continue shaving, try shave regularly. You'll be more used to it if done regularly.

My friend.

Do you shave upwards? If so, try shaving downwards instead. Normally when you shave upwards, it'll cause small bumps, and they will itch and drive you insane, Haha.

I never did. I opted to trim it really close with a hair cutter kit instead. It's way better for me personally like that.

i have had the same problems so i am starting waxing
