I had a medical abortion a few weeks ago, and started birth control, had sex a n!

Question: I had a medical abortion a few weeks ago, and started birth control, had sex a nine days after starting bc...?
And I think some *** got in me... TMI sorry. Anyways now I'm very scared and nervous I might get pregnant again. My birth control is loestrin 24 fe.. the pack says after one week you are protected, but I'm still nervous. I think I ovulated the day after having sex. Did anyone else go through this? What should I do? My boyfriend and I broke up, I'm only 17 and am going to college in the fall. I am so scared. But I do regret having that abortion, and wish I could go back in time. I'm just so confused right now. Any advice?

Answers:

Well, there's nothing you can do now but wait. You should always have protected sex for at least a month after you start birth control (until you've had a period) but it's too late to say that now. If you don't get your period then get a test kit and take it from there. The main thing is that if you need medical help, get it. They'll yell at you, but it's better than endangering your life. You should probably also find out if there's counseling available at the clinic. Women can get post partum depression after an abortion, just like after a normal delivery. You should talk to someone. Good luck.

Please, just take a deep breath and breath out.
I know this is extremely frustrating but it will turn out fine in the end. I understand your older then me, and I haven't experienced that, but from my knowledge you shouldn't be alarmed. I've seen people go through this, it will be fine. Of course, you can't go back in time and change mistakes, but it was a brave thing to do, (abortion.) Everything will be fine, just PLEASE be cautious about having sex in the meantime, you are about to start college in the fall! Think about your priorities first, they are most important.
