ahhhhhh, just "started" (need woman advice)?!

Question: Ahhhhhh, just "started" (need woman advice)?
hellooo, (gosh this is embarrassing) i am 14 and literally just "started" my period. i don't feel sick or have cramps, i feel fine! also, my Mum was telling me that she never has any pains or any symptoms when she is "on" so does this mean that i am like her? i remember a year ago when my friend came on she was in pain and had to go home, but i feel fine. any tips? should i go to school tomorrow because i haven't figured out how heavy i will be or how long i will last :S

Answers:

Yes you should still go to school tomorrow, period or not! Just wear a normal pad or keep a pad in your bag. If you do get very bad cramps that you cannot work then you can go to the school nurse to go home. Your period isn't really heavy the first time, it's pretty light. You can take after your mum but this could change! Just keep pads in easy reach and you'll be fine. It might also be an idea to take note of the days you do get your period over time to work out your cycle. ?

Lucky you!!(LOL)
Having no pain,if you feel ok i dont see why you shouldnt go to school, just make sure you take some extra towels or tampons with you.Life shouldnt stop you doing things just because you have your period. You cant keep missing school (some periods last for 7 days, that would be a lot of time off and I think your mom would get into trouble letting you have a week off every month)dont forget every women is different and periods can be different each time.Just be prepared and take it as it comes
Good luck

Congratulations on becoming a woman...and you're lucky that there is no pain. Of course, go to school. I would recommend that until you know how your body works, always over protect. That way you'll have no accidents or be embarrassed.
