What can cause delayed/missed monthly... " thing"?!
Question: What can cause delayed/missed monthly... " thing"?
Can dieting and exercising 2 times a day cause that? What about stress?
Answers:
Your period shouldn't be delayed more than 7 days, but if:
- being overweight/underweight
- stress (basically your body doesn't produce enough hormones that are essential for ovulating and menstruating. Relax)
- illness
- medication or some kind of change in medication
- miscalculation
- menopause/peri-menopause (scary thing, but in some cases can happen earlier, like when you're 20)
- schedule changes (for instance if you live mainly during the night, it can really mess up your period)
Dieting shouldn't make any changes, except if you are already underweight. In this case just stop. Otherwise it's totally okay.
Exercising part depends - how hard and long the work-out is? Too much work can do little changes.
Anyways, see your doctor :)

..............dieting and exercising surely causes delayed period. It's the body that tries to adjust to the new rhythms and a whole change of hormones happen. The same happens with stress. It is true, all little upsets of any kind produce irregularities in our period. Plus, my doctor has told me that once in a year, our organism "re adjusts" its biological clock, so delay or missing a period is quite normal. If it continues and you miss second period, you should consult your doctor. Maybe you're in need of some hormone.
Being anorexic or bulimic can cause that, but as long as your healthy, its perfectly normal. Don't worry about it.
