I had a medical abortion on March 1, and had sex on March 22...?!

Question: I had a medical abortion on March 1, and had sex on March 22...?
But I had been taking birth control for nine days by then. Was I protected? Could I be pregnant again? Is it even possible? I've heard two very different things about post abortion fertilitly. Some people say its impossible to get pregnant after an abortion, others say you are way more fertile 2-4 weeks after. What is the right one??!

Answers:

I don't know what kind of birth control you are taking but when I started my birth control, my doctor told me to use protection for at least the first 2 weeks of the pack because that is how long it takes for the pill to start working and if I had unprotected sex before that I could get pregnant.. As far as the abortion and fertility, I have always heard that is alot easier to get pregnant right after an abortion but I don't know how correct that is.

As you were already taking birth control by then, bottom line is: you're protected from pregnancy. So no: you won't be pregnant.

Just remember that after an abortion, it make take up to 2 months for your period to return.

As for more fertile or less fertile - well that's debatable. Some are. Some aren't.

If you had an abortion, why are you having unprotected sex? I suggest waiting a few months.

sometimes it can be happened

well i heard that birthcontrol takes a full month to kick in. I'm not sure about the fertility thing though, sorry :(
