How big is the "same time every day" window for birth control?!

Question: How big is the "same time every day" window for birth control?
Due to my lifestyle, it is a little tricky to take the pill at the same hour every day, I typically have to take it either an hour early, or an hour late. Will this reduce the pills effectiveness, or am I safe?

Answers:

The window depends on how effective you want your birth control to be.

Meaning if you want it to be 99% effective against pregnancy you have to take your pill every day and at the same time.

But if you take it an hour early or late the effectiveness could go down. But is it likely? I don't think so. I am going to be truthful with you. I do the same thing. I have been on the pill for 8 yeas and have been sexually active the entire time. And so far I haven't gotten pregnant. So just try to keep it in that hour before or after.

Good luck!
