Is birth control a option for 15 year old?!

Question: Is birth control a option for 15 year old?
Hey! I'm 15 years old and i have SEVER periods. First off i have a very busy lifestyle. I am my class president, i have been a dancer for 10 years and is the captain of my squad at school (which has recently ended) and now i stay after school for musical practices and then stay even later. Not to mention i am in all honors and AP classes. It is pretty clear that i have no time for a day or two off because of my period. Plus they are getting even worse (if that's possible) because i am less active because of my dance team ending.

A list of my symptoms:
-Excruciating lower back pains (pull my back out) for 1-3 days before my period (practically cripples me)
- Vomiting before my period (has happened twice)
-Vomiting during (once a cycle)
- Cramps
- Crankiness
-Disorganization
-takes 2 hours for miodol to kick in
-MAJOR fatigue

I'm to paranoid to have sex, but i feel like its going to happen within the next year so i just want to be prepared either way. The thing is, my mom doesn't want me too because she doesn't think its necessary even though on of my other sisters is on it for the same symptoms (shes odder). whats a way i can break it to her that i might need it? (only if you agree, that i do need it)

Answers:

the exact same thing happened to me and i'm 16. what my mom and i decided was for us to go to the gynecologist and get her opinion. she recommended the pill, which i started taking yesterday. now while the pill prevents pregnancies, it also lessens symptoms and can help fix Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which can mess with your fertility. maybe if your gynecologist explains this to your mom it will help.

If your period is bad enough to be making you take days off school, you need something to help that out.
The pill is a good option, and you probably are smart and are going to use it for "your period", not off to whore yourself around. Id definately talk to your mom about it.
I went on the pill at 15 for acne and it made my life soo much better.

Btw, you may want to get checked for anemia too (if you bleed ALOT)

You need to get on the pill and your mom needs to let you.

Yes you do need to find a PILL that will help you be aware it may take a while because they affect all of us differently . I am a Cheer GEEK too. 10 yr of it hoping for PRO after I finish collage [Teach/Sptsmed] I use V-C-F films spermicide for pregnancy prevention no matter WHAT else is used. BUT the PILL has to many Fails for me to chance it. BC my life is as busy as yours and BABY's are to be loved full time with out exception. I would suggest a Female Gy no that is well aware of period pain in the ar$$ problems and daily routines interrupted. I am on loisrtl24 it works good for my period and I can plan the days with in a 4 day window with them .like not start until Friday night or Start 4 days before a Competition. only bc I am not interested in them as BC.just for the record. REAL life the PILL doesn't work near the % that they say it does. spermicides do. for your future reference's
