>:( My Grandma Won't Let Me Use A Tampom.....?!

Question: >:( My Grandma Won't Let Me Use A Tampom.....?
okay well I started my period about 3 months ago. She says I'm to young, I'm only 13, but I like to use tampons.
I started with them because thats what my sister gave to me the first time I started
I hate pads. they are uncomfy.
plus if i dont put pads on right, then it leaks in my underwear -.-
and sometimes it leaks through the pads anyways

So um how can I convince her that I can use a tampon?

Answers:

Go buy them yourself or ask your Mom. Or just simply wait until you are at least 14. Pads are uncomfortable but if you buy slim ones you should be okay. Maybe you could tell her...

They are easier.

Pads are uncomfortable.

My sister has them.

My sister gave them to me and I like them.

I play sports and with pads it is too difficult.

Good Luck!!

Have your mother explain that you are okay with tampons, and they are what you're used to.

Are you just visiting your grandma for a while? If she insists, just use pads, it's not the end of the world if you use a pad. Change it more often if you leak.

Just keep using them. I don't understand why she thinks you're "too young" when you've been comfortably using them already.

just go buy the tampons yourself

just buy them

What kind of pads where you wearing for the menses to bleed through? If they have plastic on the back it can't. Wings are your friend. They hold the pad in place and keep it from bunching to the middle. Not all pads are the same. Maxi's are the thick, uncomfortable ones. Ultra thins are just that ultra thin. You can't feel them at all. Always Infinity are the best I've ever used. Even with tampons you should wear a liner with them for backup and it is recommended to alternate tampons and pads to give your body a break.

As far as tampons, if your sister had them to start with just use hers. You don't have to tell your grandmother. Just make sure your sister knows in case something happens and you are unconscious. As the medics will have to remove the tampon for you.
