I've been having some problems breathing?!

Question: I've been having some problems breathing?
So first off, I'm a 15 year old girl.
I'm really bubbly and overall a healthy person. I don't smoke.
I have a Sweet 16 party coming up and about 2 weeks ago, my friends and I were rehearsing a dance in the garage to the point where I got very tired and dizzy.
The next day, I felt like I couldn't take a deep breath. I had pain in my abdominal area.
One of those nights, I woke up and panicked at night cause I couldn't take a deep breath and my hands started shaking and my heart was beating like crazy.
Then a few days later, it calmed down and I breathed decently. I got a sore throat though.
Last Sunday, I went to the doctor and all he did was give me an inhaler and some Cephahexin.
The Cephahexin took care of my sore throat but now I still feel like I can't breath in all the way at some points and I get slight chest pains. I haven't used the inhaler yet.
I've heard that these symptoms could be stress or walking pneumonia or maybe even asthma but the doctor didn't give me a specific diagnosis. I want to go back to the doctor because I feel that he didn't take care of my problem.
Any suggestions as to what I might have? I'm really freaked out.
Also, I still have an appetite and for the most part, I don't feel tired.
Thanks.

It does sound like anxiety. You have to learn to control your breathing. You need to breath slowly. What helps is if you get a small paper bag, put it to your mouth so as there is just a little hole left in the top and breath into it slowly in and out. Carbon dioxide collects up in the bag and helps you regulate your breathing. Do it for a while and you will calm your breathing down. Also sit on the floor, back straight and take a long deep breath in through your nose and slowly as you can breath back out. So, if you breath in for say 8 seconds then try and breath out through your mouth for 16 seconds. You must keep your back straight. Do this for at least 10 minutes and you will be able to breath again. It's scary when it happens but if you do what I have said it does work I promise you. Do it the next time you wake at night and you'll be fine.
