Is my period 'cycle' normal?!

Question: Is my period 'cycle' normal?
I'm 16 and I've had my period for two years.
For the past year or so, my period has always come about a month and a week after the start of the last one. Like, if I get my period April 2nd, my next period will come around May 9th.
Am I just lucky that my periods are far apart? Or is something going on? I know most people get their periods every 28ish days.
My period lasts 5-6 days, but it's usually light after the first two days, which aren't even very heavy. Is it because I'm really thin, 5'3.5 and 100 pounds?

Answers:

It is normal for you. You are taught a woman's cycle is 28 days. That is actually an average of all the women they studied

Some woman's are closer together, some like you are father apart. Sounds like you are a lucky one.

Stress, diet and physical activity also play a role.

Every woman's period cycle is different, so yes, you are most likely just lucky to have yours far apart. The only time you should go to your doctor is if you notice anything unusual. Your period is almost always lighter near the end and your body frame can have nothing to do with that.

Experience of being an RN.

It's a myth that it's super regular. I suppose some people are but many aren't. Don't worry over it unless something changes far more or some additional odd thing happens. Then ask a gyno, which you should start consulting soon anyway.
