Question: Birth control shot and bleeding?
My girlfriend got her 1st shot 2 months ago. She didn't get her period the 1st month after. About 2 weeks ago she told me she's been bleeding pretty constantly but it's been light. I know that that's pretty common and her doctor told her that might happen. My questions are does this last a long time? Is this going to continue for as long as she is on the shot? Her sex drive is through the roof since she got the shot, also due to my awesomeness. Were having lots of sex and there is some blood every time. It's no big deal for me but the poor girl is embarrassed about it. She really enjoys oral sex but for obvious reasons doesn't want me to do that now. I want her to be happy. Should I recommend she goes off the shot and switch to pill? Any advice is appreciated.

The shot and the pill have the same symptoms. This is normal and will eventually stop. It might start up again but this spotting will stop altogether after she's been on the shot for 3 months. if it doesn't, she needs a higher dose of hormones and she should talk to her doctor. But don't worry, it should end completely after three months :)
