Answers:

You could be having your first period, or some variation of that.

First periods usually look more like brown discharge, maybe with some red blood mixed in (particularly when wiping after using the bathroom). Most girls get their first period anytime from 6 months to 2 years after starting to have vaginal discharge. So, you're in the right time range. =]

As for tampons. You should not use them until you are having a regular blood flow, if you use them now, insertion and removable will be very uncomfortable and painful. Second periods are usually more consistent and blood-like, so I would recommend waiting until then. You should use the smallest ones available with a plastic applicator (I'd recommend Tampax Pearl lites) for the first time, these will be easiest to use.

I'm guessing that this is your period and yes expect more blood over the week, your first period isn't normally that heavy but tell your mom she will sort you out. good luck xxx

yes it's your period

WELCOME TO WOMAN HOOD!!!

i would wear pads at first because they are irregular but it's up to you and good luck !!

Yup, thats your period. Ask your mom for some pads!

yes this is more than likely your period.
