Concerned about period! (Females only please..)?!

Question: Concerned about period! (Females only please..)?
Well, I am an 11 year old girl. I started my period when I was 10 years old. About 4 periods that I've had recently, my period blood has been getting DARK black clots. I asked my mum if it was normal, and she told me that it was normal. But when researching, I find more than what she told me. Is my mum lying to me? I'm concerned about my health. I've been getting tired more frequently, losing energy, cranky (Yes, I know that's one of the symptoms. I'm not that stupid.) etc.

Here are the questions so you/me can read them/answer them easier.

-Black clots in period blood normal?

-Mum lying to me?

P.S. I've heard it's just dry period blood, but I want a straight up answer, please! :)

Answers:

okay Phoebe, dont worry its normal, I promise. Your mom isnt lying, she would not lie if it wernt normal she would have worried.

Dry blood is brown not dark red.

Your body prepares every month to have a baby your overies drop and egg and your uterus prepares by getting thick and when it doesnt get fertilized the uteren wall lining falls and that is your "period" ,and it tends to come in clots, sometimes you feel them come out, when you wipe your self you might see them more, its normal, nothing bad, you probably didnt see it b4 because your still young and your hormones are still crazy, and you will get them for the rest of your time. Trust me more things are to comes, your probably gonna get really really bad cramps were you cant move, when you see more blood clots then usual you tend to be more grouchy and stuff its because your period is heavy that month. hehe so dont worry its fine. if your still uncertain, when you have a doc appointment ask your doctor in private. :) good luck.

Many times, young women (including you!) are frightened when they discover dark clots of tissue in their menstruation. Most often, this is a part of the endometrium (uterine lining) shedding and is nothing to be concerned about. Your mom is not lying to you, so just trust her, because it's the best thing to do. If it contines, tell your mom and ask her if she thinks you should go to the doctors, and dont worry because if you do then it will not be anything serious.

Training to be a gynecologist...

Don't worry Phoebe, this is completely normal. I get black clots in my blood on occasion too, they are nothing to worry about. (Unless they are really big, like golf ball size.) And your mom wouldn't lie to you about your period. If you are really worried, talk to your mom about seeing your doctor. And getting tired, losing energy and getting cranky is all part of getting your period and growing up.

Being a girl and having my period too.

Shes not LYING to you. Its probably common in your family. I only get those about once every few months. But yea the little tiny black balls that or blood? Common.

its normal
