Well i know you don't want to text her, but if you don't feel like telling her, maybe tomorrow before school say you have a sore stomach, and complain that it hurts (if you she offers you, Panadol (how ever you spell it- i mean tablets) just take it, i have taken it about 5-8 times now when i was lying and i have not gotten sick or anything, it doesn't do anything. Then text her during the day saying you got it then she will either buy you pads and stuff or take you after school (make sure in the text tell her that you have a few supplies for till the end of the day)
IF you still really don't want to text you could complain about stomach ache again and then just put you undies in the wash, and if she ask just say like yea i wasn't sure if it was or not.

Sorry if i wasn't too much help, but good luck.

I texted my mum as she was away for the week.

Well just tell her, go to the restroom and then yell her name from there and show her a stained panty. and that should be it, besides there is nothing wrong with that, its all the part of growing up, and do it soon because she will notice her pads missing and you dont want that to happen :) good luck. :)

You should just tell her, eventually she'll find out. I mean after a while she'll notice her pads are disappearing. Besides pads r sumthing u need. Its better if she knows n e ways. She is ur mom after all.

i understand how nervous you are, but there's really not anything to be worried about! your mum is just like you she is female and has her period as well, so it's not going to be awkward like if you had to tell your dad lol. this is not something you have to be ashamed of, alot more girls are getting theirs at a younger age nowadays. many of my friends got theirs when they were 12. tell your mum so you will know what to expect. you'll learn as you get older that getting your period is a relief, cause you're not pregnant haha. but yes just tell her you found blood in your panties and that you think you have your period, and then ask her to buy you pads. trust me you do not want to go to bed without a pad... don't worry my mom didnt hug me or say congrats haha but it will be reassuring for both of you to be honest to each other.

btw it is possible for you to get cramps. some people say it's taboo, but really, according to herbalists/natural doctors, DON't drink/eat really cold things, it'll make cramps more painful. i don't like to take medicine, because it's unnatural chemicals dumped into my body, and the effects wear out after awhile, but if you do get cramps. get a warm pack (opposite of ice pack, you can heat them up) and it will make you feel ALOT better. drink warm tea or something :)

ima girl trying to help out another girl :)

this is a tough thing to do, and we've all gone through it. I still remember when i had to tell my mom, I had butterflies in my stomach and felt so embarrased. But i knew i had to so I went see her and busted it out "I got my period" and then she was all happy and started blablating about becoming a woman, which was even more embarrasing !! but well, it was a relief and she did give me lots of tips.
you should get your period at around 13 so definitely not normal that your mom got it at 18. Just blurt it out and you'll be fine !
