Punky's Pads are my favourite - http://www.punkyspads.com

I normally wear a menstrual cup so I don't need to wear pads, but sometimes I just want to use pads to take a break from my cup and Punky's Pads are the best I've ever used...much better than gross commercial pads like Always!

I have super heavy flow and these deal with them really well, they have lots of different sizes but the big one doesn't feel huge or bulky at all, they last well, don't gather-up or move about, more hygienic so don't cause bad smells or infections, don't feel like wearing a diaper or irritating, and totally cool...right now I'm wearing a Betty Boop pad :-)

You'd be surprised how little blood there actually is, even though it feels like a flood! Pantyliners are meant more for keeping fresh on a daily basis and not substantial enough for periods. Personally I use tampons when my blood flow is heavier and then a towel as it subsides a little. I probably tried every product over the years before finding what suits me!
Can you talk to your Mum? She's been through all this herself and I'm sure would be happy to help. If not then choose a regular sanitary towel to start with and see if that's enough.
Good luck.

try kotex brand pads

iPad 2, I heard it can do almost anything!
