What do you think of smiling to meet new people?!

Question: What do you think of smiling to meet new people?
I am a shy guy, and i'm wondering what is the best way to flirt / have fun with any girl i see. If i see a girl in the street, club or anywhere else - is it best to SMILE if we make eye contact. Or is that too creepy. My problem is that i'm too shy and have low esteem & can't look a girl in the eye.
But i've heard that girls like a guy to smile at them to let them know they are interested. Is this true? How could i smile with girls in club & she did /didn't like this? Please help, give tips & real life examples ...

Answers:

when i smile i find people more receptive and seem to like me better
smiling is free, doesn't make wrinkles, and is a sign of interest.
if a girl doesn't smile back, move on, but don't take it personally, as girls can be fickle

Smile your heart out.

It's great to smile at anyone, actually. I know it always makes my day happier when someone smiles at me, and I've had my friends tell me the same.

also, a lot of girls like shy guys -- we figure most of the time they're really sweet and caring, which is what 95% of girls want in a guy. make us laugh, too, and you have us hook, line, and sinker.

Yes. Smile.

Insane in the membrane

You better smile and be yourself....even if it means changing yourself 'am not talking being a faker or poser quite contrare 'ol boy.....thing is if you don't say anything she'll keep on walking right on past you and your life...I once had trouble with being shy around girls until I learned to project myself...i.e how ya doin' ? ya I'm interested in knowing about you.......keep the focus of the conversation light and about her... not you.....women love to talk about themselves....it's ok to hint about sex too not the hey ya wanna get it on line iether...you'll have to found out her boundries....

Best of luck to you !
