What would make my mum buy me tampons?!

Question: What would make my mum buy me tampons?
I am currently using pads but last night I researched tampons and no I want to use them but my mum insists I carry on using pads what will make her changer her mind?

Answers:

Buy them yourself :). My mom was really conservative and i could not talk to her about anything like this. It felt weird. i remember that i wanted to experiment with tampons so i went to the store and bought some. I was soooooo embarrased i bought other junk i didn't need ( mag, soda, gum) and I felt like everyone was staring at me. I pictured the clerk and other ladies in the tampon/pad aisle just looking me. It's ALL in your imagination!!! No one cares. It's normal and you'll get use to them. Think of it as a "coming of age" experience that you'll remember forever. Hopefull it will make you emphatize with your daughter when you have one in the future :) i know i will !

*** If worst comes to worst - go to the school nurse and ask her for some. Then you can try them and see if they are for you ( at least right now)

Why it's Good to Wear Pads:
- Easy to put on
-You can feel it's there
-They're comfy
-Easier night time use
-Easier to pack for trips
- Reduces risk for diseases, such as Toxic Shock Syndrome, found on some tampons
Why it's Good to Wear Tampons
-You can't feel it's there
-No one can see it, like you would maybe see the outline of a pad.
-They don't smell after a period of time
-Easy to throw away
-They're not that messy
-They don't take up much space
Hope this list helps :)

if you are old enough to get your period then you are old enough to go to the store and buy your own. it really isn't anything to be embarrassed about.

buys her own tampons

Tell her you want to go swimming and need to get tampons to do that.
(hopefully you like to swim and this won't sound out of character!)

just tell her they'd make you more comfortable and happy during your periods?
Or, just go buy them yourself like everyone else..?

Just tell her that you don't like to wear pads. Or you could just ask her if you can borrow some money and go buy them yourself.

Pads are really unhygienic and they make you smell. Tampons are better.

Buy them yourself its easier.

what are you embarrassed about? its very natural

Bleed all over her nice sofa. She'll get the hint.
