The logical rebel in me says You need what you need. Get the tampons. I recommend Playtex Sport, they're really comfortable, secure, and go in really easy. If your mom gets onto you tell her this is just more comfortable for you and what if you want to go swimming on your period? You can't wear a pad in the water but you can wear a tampon. Just get them and don't listen to your mom if she yells at you for it.
I hate when parents are so overprotective and controlling like that and won't let their kid have what they need.

if your mom doesn't support your decision, it shouldn't stop you from trying.. if u like them and she wont buy them for you, u will have to raise the money yourself to be able to use them. but do whats best for u...
