Question: Horrible cramping but no period yet?
I've been on birth control for a few years now, taking it regularly, and I had unprotected sex about 2 weeks ago. I was supposed to start my period on Sunday, and I took a home pregnancy test on Saturday that was negative (it said you could take it up to 5 days before your period, so I figured one day before was ok). On Sunday nothing happened, and today I've had horribly painful cramps (the worst I've ever had) all day long, but not a trace of bleeding at all. Am I just being paranoid?

I think you'll be fine. I'm on the pill too and just this last week it took me three days of being off the pill for me to start bleeding. If the pregnancy test was negative, I'd trust it. False negatives are very rare. The cramps before you bleed are when you are ovulating and tend to be more painful than cramps while you bleed. So I'd say yes, you're being a bit paranoid, but within good reason what with the unprotected sex and all. However, as long as you don't have unprotected sex for a while during your period you should be fine.
