Can you go swimming with shorts and a pad?!

Question: Can you go swimming with shorts and a pad?
If you go swimming wearing shorts over bikini bottoms, and a santitarty towel in your bikini pants, is that okay? or does it fall out?

Answers:

Honestly, I would wear a pad to be safe. I used to hear that when you are in the water your period stops, but that's not exactly true. BUT if you are swimming-actually swimming and not standing in the water spashing your period subsides because your body is horizontal instead of vertical so the blood does not pour out. But as soon as you are standing upright again your period will start up again.

But also the change in pressure in the water will slightly "stop" your period. But again once you are out of the water, the pressure changes and can increase your blood flow. So be safe and just use a tampon. A Sanitary towel is just going to get wet and get disgusting and be very uncomfortable.

It's the same as a baby swimming in a diaper that isn't meant for the pool... It just doesn't work!

It's way easier to get use to tampons.. it takes awhile and they are uncomfortable at first, but definitely worth it!

You will enjoy your summer WAY more if you learn to use tampons :)

You don't want to do that. If the pad doesn't fall out, the water will make the blood on the pad leak all over the place.

No..... wear a tampon. The towel will fall apart and end up in bits all around you!!

I wouldn't advise that, it would all fall apart. Wear a tampon.

Not a good idea...
