Am I close to my first period? 14 and I really need some advice..xx?!

Question: Am I close to my first period? 14 and I really need some advice..xx?
I'm 14 and I'm just wondering if my period is going to come soon or not? in January I had these signs- bloated stomach; cramps; tender breasts; itchy breasts; tiredness; craving; no discharge though...
I've had none of these signs recently apart from the odd cramp now and then . I've spoke to my mum and she said im not sure but it will probs be ur period... I really need some advice it'll rlly help me get thru this difficult stage:) thankyou xx

Answers:

No one can tell you exactly when you'll get your period, and usually there is no sign your period is coming RIGHT before it arrives, many girls will stress over looking for "signs" like stomach pains, headaches, craving food or irritability, when all of these things can be completely unrelated. In most cases, a first period will com as a surprise. First periods usually look more like brown colored discharge, with some red blood in it occasionally (particularly when wiping after using the bathroom). So, that's how you'll know you've gotten it.

Most girls get their first period anytime from 18 months to 3 years after thy begin to develop breast, and anytime from 6 months to 2 years after starting to have clear/white vaginal discharge. If you have not started to have discharge yet, you're probably a bit away from having your period (unless your discharge is so light you hadn't noticed it). It is not recommended that a girl sees a doctor unless she's 16 and hasn't gotten her first period, so you still have 2 years before it's even anything you have to worry about. Just be patient, your period will come when your body is ready for it =]

didnt help but, ahh well X

Hannah, are you into strenuous sports? If you are, many times, it will delay you from ovulating, so relax, and when your body is ready, you will begin to have your period.
Judging by your question, I am assuming that you never had sex, I am saying this because I also had 2 good daughters and they are both good women today.
Keep talking to your mom, she will guide you through this rough time in your young life.
Good luck and God bless you!

It's very possible. Just eat properly, get plenty of sleep and regular exercise, and it will come in its own good time.
