Is it true never to eat ice cream while you're on your monthly(period)?!

Question: Is it true never to eat ice cream while you're on your monthly(period)?
Answers:

I eat ice cream...Sometimes, I guess. Chocolate Ice cream to soothe myself.
No, you can have anything you want, but ice cream and cold beverages make your cramps a bit more worse. Still, you can have it, as long as you can withstand the pain of cramps.
Not to worry, it won't hurt that much, use painkillers, or eat something sweet to soothe yourself. =)

That sounds like an old wive's tale that my grandmother used to tell me .. also, not to be out in the cold and rain when you have your period. It's just something that people used to be concerned about for whatever reason. There's nothing wrong with eating ice cream during your period. Some people have cramping during it that might be accompanied with upset stomach and dairy could make it worse, but that just varies person to person. I'm sure you'll be fine ;)

Unless you have a dairy allergy or intolerance its probably safe to say YEAH. I have heard though that dairy will act as a mucus antagonist. So it may make your periods and any day during your regular cycle more mucus-y (more whitish discharges). If you omit dairy it may make "down there" more pleasant and less messy.

It is fine to eat ice cream anything you would normaly it is just that it is not great to have sugar while on your period

I doubt ice cream is a problem but I've heard to stay away from salty things because it will make you bloated.

As long as you eat it (and everything else) in moderation, ice cream is fine.
