Back pain during period normal?!

Question: Back pain during period normal?
My whole period this month has been off. First off I normally get my period every two months... and this has been the second time in two months. Then I normally get it during the third week of the month, not the last. This has been extremely steady for a few years now. I normally get really bad cramps with my period, especially the first few days. This time? No cramps to speak of, just a few twinges.
Since I'm just sixteen, back pain isn't normal for me. Around the third day of my period I woke up with awful awful awful aching in my lower back. Never happened before. It faded a little through the day but was just as bad the next morning. Is this normal? Is the whole period being different normal? I'm so confused!!

Answers:

is there any way you could be pregnant and not know it? the intense back pain your describing almost sounds like labor pains. or braxton hix contractions which is false labor. if there is no possible way you could be pregnant then its prolly just a bad case of pms. take some ibuprofen and you should be fine. if not then talk to your parents and visit the doctor. =D hope i helped!

Yes this is all very normal, periods can be really weird!
