Can I swim while on my period?!

Question: Can I swim while on my period?
My friend and I are going to the beach today, and I really want to swim. I'm pretty sure it's the last day of my period so my flow is really really light. And this is the last warm day we're going to have this week, so could I go into the water?

Answers:

If it's the last day of your period, you shouldn't have a problem. Just wear dark colored shorts over your swim suit. After swimming, put on a pad right away, and if there's any blood in your bathing suit bottom, just rinse it out in the sink before it dries.

If you want to swim more during the summer, you could always consider using tampons so you won't have to worry about when you can or can't swim.

I've gone swimming on a lighter day of my period before I started using tampons.

sure and if your flow is really light don't worry, but be careful of the sharks, they get a smell for blood you may come out of the water considerably lighter than when you went in

yeah, i heard that the pressure of the water stops it coming out, never been brave enough to try it, but go for it, and don't attract any sharks!

of course you can, if its that light u may not even need a tampon. it will usually stop when u get in the water if its that light

I'd wear a light tampon if I were you, just in case.

yes, use a tampon
