Nothing to worry about, don't panic =]

Most girls get their first period anytime from 18 months to 3 years after they begin to develop breast, and anytime from 6 months to 2 years from the time they begin to have clear/white vaginal discharge. There is more that goes into when you get your period than just how old your mother was. It seems the girls on her family get it earlier, but what about your dad's side? How old were his sisters? That could play a part in it. Also, it's more than just genetics. If a girl is on the more petite side, it's normal for her to develop a bit later than her peers. Or if you're an athlete (like seriously training, not just like if you play soccer at school), it can cause you to develop a bit later also. There's probably no cause other than your body isn't ready yet though.

The HEALTHY age range for a girl to get her period can be as young as 10, or as old as 15. If a girl hasn't started by SIXTEEN it is recommended she sees a doctor. So, you still have 2 years before it's even anything to worry about =]

Everyone's different. Some people start really late, some early.
Well, usually, people are mostly worried when they're about 15-16, because that's the time where you HAVE to check up on a doctor.
Just wait for a bit longer. Anyway, I had mine pretty early, around 8-9. Lucky you, you don't have to suffer it in such early age.
Well, these things, you need patience. Anyway, I wouldn't suggest hoping for your period to come ==" I prefer it late, trust me. =) But it makes you feel more...feminine.
Don't be scared, if you're that worried, go check up on a doctor.
P.S : I'm only 11, and I'm quite young ;)

No, you shouldn't be worried at all. Someone has to be the exception to the rule, to push the boundaries ;) That person is you. Being later than your family members can also mean that you might also turn out a lot smarter than them too......

Call me in two years time if you still haven't started yet. Or if you started already by then but turn out to be way more successful than your aunties :)

Don't be scared. Everyone starts at different times, and you can't always go by what your mother or siblings did. I started at 13 and my sister was months behind me at 10 years of age! Some people start as late as 16. This isn't a bad thing.. trust me, that would be a blessing. Many factors determine when you start, including your body mass index/body fat percentage- not necessarily weight. I'm sure you will be starting soon, so don't freak out. Once you get it, you'll be glad you didn't have to deal with it for those years.

There's an old fasioned word called "Late Bloomers" and this is a classic case.
Don't worry at all! Some girls don't get their first cycle until they're 16-18 years old!
Everyone is different, even within the same families. From what it sounds like, you're almost there.
Try to enjoy the fact that you don't have your period yet.......you'll wish you were younger again.
Good luck :-) You're just fine, no need to see a doctor :-)
Have a great day!

Everybody is different, my period started when I was 17, that was when consulted my doctor, just be patient and do not stress too much, your period will come when your body is ready. Try not to stress, good luck.

Don't be scared it seems as though you will start quite soon so be prepared. Still, if you don't start until your 17 you should go to a doctor. In the meantime you are completley normal.

I am a GP. ;)

Don't worry. Genetics don't always have anything to do with it. My mom started at 11 and I started at 14 so no biggie. Also it depends a lot on your BMI(Body mass index).

You should`t worry about a period because when u start getting it u won`t like it. And Many people have different types of body's and yours might be the one that might start at the age of 18.. don`t be worried
