What is going on with my body?!

Question: What is going on with my body?
My cycle has been completely messed up since I had my 2nd daughter 16 months ago....this month it's even MORE messed up ...I started my period on March 18. It was really REALLY heavy for the first 3-4 days and then tapered off to nothing and by the 7th day I just had some very light brown discharge....light enough to almost not notice it. This past sunday (just over a week after my period was done) I had some brown discharge in the morning and in the afternoon when I wiped it was reddish pink. It stopped a few hours later. Now today, I have more reddish pink discharge. What is going on? Is this my period still??? or is this another period? I haven't ovulated yet this month so I'm very sure it's not implantation bleeding. I took a pregnancy test before my period even started this past month too and it was negative...a couple of days later, I got my period. So I'm very sure I'm not preggo. I'm so frustrated because I have no idea what is going on with my body :( Is this normal?

Answers:

It could be the cause of many things. Depending on your age and physical condition it could be the transition into menopause or nothing at all. My wife's monthly cycle was consistent (always on the same week) before she became sexually active with me. After my wife give birth to my two daughters her monthly cycle has never been on the same week. She also experiences clear, yellowish, or yellowish light bown discharge from time to time but after doing research I concluded that it was perfectly normal considering my wife's age and physical condition.

Please see the following articles I have searched.
The first to links are about the understanding of your discharge and how to determine if it is healthy or an infection.

The third provides Information to determining if it could be the transition into menopause.
