Short period, peeing A LOT?!

My period is normally 6 days every 24 days. It started Saturday morning (as expected) and it was heavier than usual. The next two days it was barely noticeable, and today it was very light. The last couple of days I've been peeing a lot, it's been every 15-30 minutes since I woke up this morning. I haven't had anything to drink, except one beer last night and a glass of water this morning. There's no discomfort or anything, but I'm confused. Could my weird period be related to my frequent visits to the bathroom? Could it be some infection (still a virgin, no chance of any STDs)?
